Fredericia, 2001

[…] on the contrary, in their project for the redevelopment of the port of Fredericia in Denmark (2001), Ozarinskas and Čeponytė proposed looking at the territory from a great distance, from a space satellite, by marking the port facilities with indicators used to distinguish spacecraft from other celestial bodies: black dots arranged in a regular pattern on a white background. The design sought to facilitate an interactive connection for data collection and exchange between Fredericia and a space station. The scale deviation discovered in this architectural design was also utilised in the outdoor installation Points of Attraction (2002) created for the 8th Baltic Triennial.
