Neither Victims Nor Executioners, 1995
Ozarinskas’s highly topical work, Neither Victims Nor Executioners (in my opinion, one of the strongest in the exhibition), draws a parallel between parasites and staged photographs of the past, sorted into cardboard boxes. The title could apply to both, and further inspection only reveals more facets. No one could forbid you from mentally inserting images from current affairs. In any case, the deprecators of eternal values have many supporters in the grandstands these days. Regardless of whether you look at it in terms of art or politics, it hits the mark.
